ECCO’s BIOM 2.0 shoe and the EXOWRAP sandal have been recognised at the German Design Awards, one of the world’s most renowned design competitions.
“As we deepen our ongoing commitment to the outdoor category globally, our product and design teams are always raising the bar for themselves to bring fresh and relevant styles to the new athletic outdoor consumers of today,” says Nikolai Christensen, global head of Ecco Outdoor. “We are honoured to be recognised for our innovations, from our water-saving DriTan™ technology to these two new versatile styles that give our specialty retailers something new, different and truly design-driven to offer their customers.”
ECCO was recognised in the category of Excellent Product Design in the Sports, Outdoor Activities and Leisure at the German Design Awards, which are organised by the German Design Council. Winning the two awards will showcase ECCO Outdoor to an influential audience from the global design community.
With their advanced performance technologies and premium materials, the ECCO BIOM 2.0 and the ECCO EXOWRAP live up to the brand promise of 'made for the elements'. Both shoes are among the highlights of ECCO Outdoor's Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
ECCO Outdoor will receive the awards at a ceremony at the Ambiente trade fair, the largest international consumer goods fair, in Frankfurt in February 2021.
