ECCO Leather teams up with Apple to reduce carbon footprint

In a press release, Apple has announced that ECCO Leather is on the list of suppliers that have committed to run their Apple production on 100 percent clean energy. Apple’s Supplier Clean Energy Program aims to reduce the carbon footprint, and last year, Apple and its suppliers managed to generate clean energy that roughly equalled the electricity needed to power over 600,000 homes in the US*.

Headquartered in the Netherlands, ECCO Leather strives to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, implementing environmentally sound methods and technology. DriTan™, a water-efficient tanning process, is one of the latest examples of ECCO’s focus on supporting sustainable operations.
