Changes in the Supervisory Board of ECCO Sko A/S

At today’s Annual General Meeting of ECCO Sko A/S, Dieter Kasprzak and Gerd Rahbek-Clemmensen stepped down from the Supervisory Board. At the same time, Dieter Kasprzak retires from his position as Chief Executive Officer and Steen Borgholm is officially appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Dieter Kasprzak continues as an adviser to ECCO on collection and production-technical matters, and Gerd Rahbek-Clemmensen continues on a few Boards representing ECCO Holding A/S.

As new Supervisory Board members of ECCO Sko A/S, Tom Behrens-Sørensen (59) and André Kasprzak (28), third generation of the Toosbuy/Kasprzak family, have been appointed.

The change has been planned for a number of years.

Tom Behrens-Sørensen joined the ECCO Group in 2013 as an adviser, i.a. as a Board member on ECCO’s Chinese production company in Xiamen. At the beginning of 2017, Tom Behrens-Sørensen joined the Boards of all of ECCO’s production companies.

André Kasprzak has been a member of the Board of the ECCO Group’s European retail company KRM AG since 2009 and of the Board of ECCO Holding A/S since 2011.

Tom Behrens-Sørensen has spent the major part of his career with A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, where he was responsible for the build-up of the shipping company’s activities in China. He left Maersk in 2009 and has since then been a professional Board member on a number of Danish and global companies. He brings substantial international business experience to the Supervisory Board.

Having completed his Higher Business Exam and military service, André Kasprzak spent some years as a professional golf player. At the beginning of 2015, he was employed by the Scandinavian e-commerce company BOOZT. He left this company in 2016 and has since then contributed to the establishment of a new European e-commerce platform in KRM AG, operating 300 ECCO shops in 20 European companies. André Kasprzak has a considerable insight into the digital world and major experience with e- trade, which he will bring to the Supervisory Board.

Tom Behrens-Sørensen states:

”I have already for the past four years been a member of the Board on one of ECCO’s Asian production companies, just as I have been closely associated as adviser on ECCO’s sales activities in China. I consider ECCO the epitome of an extremely healthy Danish family company and highly appreciate the cooperation. I look forward to an expanded commitment as a member of the Supervisory Board of ECCO Sko A/S and hope to be able to contribute positively”.

André Kasprzak states:

”I am very pleased and proud, as the third generation, to be appointed member of the Supervisory Board of ECCO Sko A/S. ECCO has always been an essential part of my life, and I look forward to doing my very best in order to make ECCO’s employees happy and proud to work for a family-owned company also in future. I am of course impacted by the commitment and hard word which my grandparents and my own parents have put into building up and running ECCO and therefore take on the assignment with great humility”.
