Innovation,
technology and fashion were in focus when ECCO was invited to join this year’s
Berlin Fashion Week in FashionTech, one of the world’s leading fashion and tech
conferences.
Invited as
special guest to High Snobiety, ECCO’s Head of Applied Research Thomas Gøgsig was
interviewed by Editorial Director Brock Cardiner in front of a live audience –
and on a stage right above the runway.
Thomas Gøgsig
explains:
“Dyneema
Bonded Leather and Apparition are some of ECCO’s innovative products which have
really made their entry in the fashion world. Our use of cutting-edge
technology opens up a world of opportunities in fashion, and the audience was
very open to learning more about ECCO as a company and our take on innovation”.
ECCO was present
at the conference to discuss the hottest trends and disruptive technologies in
the fashion industry. Although focus was on technology and innovation, the
audience was also curious to know more about ECCO’s way of working with Corporate
Responsibility. “For sure, ECCO has an edge which very few can replicate:
our value chain and the flexibility to bring stuff from idea to product to bulk
without any 3rd party involvement,” Thomas Gøgsig says.
